Are winter weddings cheaper?
My fiancee and I are getting married in November 2010, and I have heard that winter weddings are cheaper.. Im just curious to how much cheaper? If you have had a winter wedding was it alot cheaper? or the same as a summer wedding? Thanks a bunch!
I’m getting married December 19th and was under the same impression that weddings in the off season are cheaper…however, I have not gotten a deal on much. The reception venue is the same (although I think that is b/c it’s around Christmas time and it’s not an off-season for them w/ Christmas parties), dj’s (same reason). The only thing I got a deal on was the limo ($200 dollars off) and maybe the flowers.
I didn’t choose to get married during the winter b/c it’s cheaper, so it doesn’t really bother me, but if you chose November just b/c you thought it would be cheaper, it’s not worth it in my opinion.
But who knows…I’m not much of a barterer, so maybe if you try to talk people down, you may get better deals!
